Nikkei reported that MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings will participate in the government’s domestic generative AI development plan. Through its subsidiary Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance Company, Limited, it will join NEDO’s generative AI initiative and jointly develop an AI platform for companies to use in new product development by fiscal 2028.
MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings will participate in the government-led domestic generative AI development plan, according to a report by the electronic edition of the Nihon Keizai Shimbun. The company is therefore expected to become involved in building a public platform for AI development.
The participation will take place through its subsidiary Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance Company, Limited. The company is said to be joining a plan promoted by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) and working jointly with 4 companies, including major telecommunications operators.
The plan aims to establish an AI platform that companies can use to develop new products by fiscal 2028. The report highlighted, at this stage, the cooperation between private-sector companies and public institutions to develop AI infrastructure.
