Hokuyu Lucky, a supermarket chain operating mainly in Hokkaido, has adopted GROWTH VERSE's Miseshiru foot-traffic analytics AI to improve store-level trade-area analysis and pursue strategic customer acquisition using digital advertising. Going forward, the company plans to conduct data analysis and set KPIs under head-office leadership, while continuing initiatives in coordination with each store.
Hokuyu Lucky, which operates mainly in Hokkaido, has announced the introduction of Miseshiru, a foot-traffic analytics AI. The aim is to gain a detailed understanding of the trade area around each store, develop measures to compete with rival stores, identify customer segments, apply the data to future store-opening and area strategies, and approach prospective customers through digital advertising.
The background to the introduction is the challenge of developing store-specific initiatives beyond uniform promotional measures across all stores. Improving the level of detail in store-level trade-area analysis and visualizing competitive relationships have also been cited. The company aims to use Miseshiru to support the formulation of store and area strategies.
Miseshiru is a foot-traffic analytics AI that uses smartphone big data. It combines and analyzes location data for 30 million people, 480 million web-browsing-history UB records, 180 million purchase receipt records and census data. Going forward, the company will analyze and model the data, set KPIs, and work with stores to implement improvement measures.
GROWTH VERSE is the company that provides this AI. Its mission is “BUILDING AI to maximize Business Growth,” and it says it aims to maximize companies' growth potential through data and AI.
