Toyo Kohan will purchase from Orix the environmental value of surplus electricity generated by the rooftop solar power facility at the Mazda KD Center. Supply is scheduled to begin in November 2026 and will take the form of a PPA covering the environmental value of the surplus.
The solar power generation facility installed on the roof of the Mazda KD Center in Hiroshima, Hiroshima Prefecture, has a capacity of 2.2 MW and is expected to generate 2.6 GWh in its first year. Mazda will self-consume approximately 77% and supply Toyo Kohan with approximately 23% of the environmental value of the surplus electricity.
Orix will participate as the PPA provider in the purchase of the environmental value, with supply scheduled to begin in November 2026.
The transaction is intended to make effective use of environmental value generated across the supply chain and in the local community, and is positioned as part of the collaboration between the Toyo Kohan Group and Mazda.
