Aica Kogyo Co., Ltd. added a wall-mounted faucet option to its bespoke-style vanity unit “Smart Sanitary U” and simultaneously launched the Fit Wide Mirror, whose width can be adjusted in 1-millimeter increments. The company also announced a new structure that reduces installation work and costs.
Aica Kogyo Co., Ltd. announced that it had added a wall-mounted faucet option to “Smart Sanitary U,” its bespoke-style vanity unit manufactured by the company in Nagoya. The wall-mounted faucet uses a structure with piping space inside the lining above the countertop, achieving the desired design while limiting extensive work inside the wall.
On the same day, the company also launched the “Fit Wide Mirror,” whose width can be adjusted in 1-millimeter increments. This expands the range of configurations for vanity areas and enables designs tailored to individual preferences, the company said. Installation time and costs had traditionally been issues with wall-mounted faucets, and the company’s new structure is intended to address them.
Because the faucet itself is installed on the wall, there is no faucet base on the countertop, making the wall-mounted faucet easy to clean, the company explained. The announcement is positioned as part of an initiative to facilitate the introduction in Japan of wall-mounted faucets that are widely used overseas.
