On 7 October, HP Japan held its annual event, "HP Future of Work AI Conference 2026," at Shinagawa Prince Hotel. More than 1,000 people attended, and products including the new 14-inch AI PC "HP EliteBook 8 G2iW 14" and the high-performance mobile workstation "HP ZBook Ultra G3a 16" were exhibited.
The keynote highlighted the importance of processing AI not only in the cloud but also on devices through "AI at the Edge," as well as "personal intelligence" that supports users. It presented 3 pillars aimed at delivering a consistent AI experience regardless of the device or location.
The new HP EliteBook 8 G2iW 14 features a lightweight design weighing less than 1kg, a long-life battery, security features and a wide range of connectivity ports, supporting work styles that move between the office and field locations.
In the exhibition area, the AI-workload-focused mobile workstation HP ZBook Ultra G3a 16 was shown with the AMD Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 series and support for up to 192GB of memory. HP Dimension with Google Beam, which projects remote locations into the same space through 3D imagery, was also introduced.
