Earth Corporation will serve as a special sponsor of Cirque du Soleil's KOOZA Japan tour, and a press conference was held at the venue in Odaiba, Tokyo. The Japan tour will be held for the first time in 16 years, with performances scheduled in Tokyo and Osaka.
The press conference was held in October at Fuji TV in Odaiba, Tokyo, with representatives of the organizers and the special sponsor taking the stage. The tour is titled "Earth Corporation KOOZA," with performances in Japan scheduled from 24 February 2027 at Odaiba Big Top in Tokyo and from 7 August at Osaka-jō Big Top.
KOOZA was inspired by the Sanskrit word for "treasure box" and tells the story of Innocent, the protagonist who travels through a mysterious world. The production is characterized by physical performance, clowns, original costumes and music, and grand stage direction, and has drawn large audiences around the world.
Special supporters Osamu Shitara (設楽 統) of Bananaman, FANTASTICS and Rikako Yagi (八木 莉可子) appeared, and performances including a unicycle duo and a Cyr wheel act using a large ring were presented. Shitara introduced the appeal of the production.
The Tokyo performances are scheduled to run through 25 April 2027 and the Osaka performances through 24 October of the same year. The production is expected to generate strong interest in Japan as a major show approaching the 20th anniversary of its original premiere.
