Taiko Pharmaceutical displayed peel-off ads offering portable toilets that commuters could take home in conjunction with Disaster Preparedness Day. The ads were displayed at Umeda Station and Namba Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line from 31 August to 6 September. The initiative is being conducted as part of the awareness campaign project "The Trumpet Logo Is a Sign of Preparedness."
As the company approaches its 80th anniversary, it views recognition of the trumpet logo as being supported by older generations while trending downward among younger people. The initiative aims to increase awareness of the company name by linking it with the trumpet logo, using well-known products such as Seirogan as a hook.
As an initiative to extend household preparedness to disaster preparedness, the company indicated its intention to encourage disaster-preparedness awareness across a broad range of generations, building on the household preparedness it has supported through its everyday medicines.
Taiko Pharmaceutical also announced a survey in November 2025 on "preparedness through sound," which involves informing people of locations during disasters, and indicated that it plans to link this initiative with its future activities.
