応用技術 built a system that automatically creates parking lot drawings, automating the creation of parking lot layouts for store development. The lead time, which previously took approximately one week through outsourcing, changed to as little as 10 minutes, creating an environment in which personnel at the worksite can generate drawings immediately.
As competition for store openings and DX initiatives accelerate across the retail industry, Seven-Eleven Japan continues to open 500–600 new stores annually and is also introducing AI-based appraisals to improve the efficiency of land assessments. The automation of parking lot layouts is positioned as part of an initiative to accelerate the presentation of specific plans following the assessment.
The system is CAD software that runs in a web browser, requiring no installation of dedicated software, and is designed for intuitive tablet operation by RFCs at the worksite. Parking space markings are automatically laid out simply by specifying the site and store location, with fine adjustments also possible as needed. Within one year of its introduction, it was used in 70% of store opening plans prepared by approximately 250 RFCs nationwide, contributing to lower outsourcing costs and greater operational efficiency.
