Daikin Industries will build a new factory for data center cooling equipment in Mexico and begin operations in early 2027. Revenue from its data center cooling business is expected to expand to ¥800 billion in FY30 as the company pursues growth in global markets, including North America.
Daikin Industries has announced plans to build a new factory for data center cooling equipment in Mexico and begin operations in early 2027. Its customers are reportedly hyperscalers, and the company is expected to serve data center construction not only in North America but also in Europe, India and other markets.
Revenue from the data center cooling business is expected to reach ¥800 billion in FY30, representing more than fivefold growth from FY25, according to reports. Daikin's latest consolidated revenue is approximately ¥5 trillion, and the business is viewed as a potential growth driver.
The company reportedly plans to increase its supply capacity to strengthen its development of global markets and establish a system capable of supporting the overseas expansion of hyperscalers. It aims to expand the scale of its data center cooling business through the construction of the new factory and the expansion of demand.
The move is understood to reflect rising demand for cooling equipment in the North American and Latin American markets, including Mexico, as well as the continued expansion of data center investment.
