明星工業 revised down its ordinary profit forecast for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027 (April–September), with a decline of around 7% now expected. Meanwhile, the full-year ordinary profit forecast was left unchanged.
On 22 October, 明星工業 revised down its consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending October (April–September) by 9.4%, from the previous forecast of ¥3.2 billion to ¥2.9 billion. As a result, the forecast for a decline in profit during the period widened to 7.1%. Ordinary profit was ¥3.12 billion in the same period of the previous year, and the revised forecast now points to a year-on-year decline.
Meanwhile, the full-year ordinary profit forecast was left unchanged at the previous forecast of ¥7.65 billion. The market focus is on the extent to which the revision to the company’s first-half results will affect its full-year outlook.
