NPC, featured in the Emerging Market Snapshot, sharply lowered its full-year forecast for the fiscal year ending August 2026, changing revenue from ¥8.014 billion to ¥5.811 billion, while revising ordinary income upward to ¥880 million. Although delays in the acceptance of large domestic projects and the deferral of some modification projects for the U.S. affected results, the year-end dividend will be maintained at ¥10.
NPC announced that it had revised its full-year earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending August 2026, lowering revenue from its previous forecast of ¥8.014 billion to ¥5.811 billion. Accordingly, ordinary income was revised upward from ¥766 million to ¥880 million, while net income is now expected to be ¥481 million due to the recognition of a valuation loss on investment securities.
The reasons cited included the time required for on-site adjustments at customer plants for large domestic projects, with delays in acceptance limiting revenue growth. The deferral of some modification projects for the U.S. to the fiscal year ending August 2027 was also cited as a factor behind the decline in revenue.
On the other hand, contributions from high-margin relocation and modification projects, along with lower materials costs, are expected to boost profit, and profitability is expected to improve overall. The year-end dividend is scheduled to remain unchanged at ¥10.
The company indicated both the factors behind the decline in revenue and the improvement in profit through greater efficiency, and said it would monitor progress and any additional disclosures.
