GMOサイバーセキュリティ byイエラエ is investing in Taiwan’s TRAPA Security, acquiring exclusive distribution rights in Japan for TRAPA’s attack-and-defense exercise platform and beginning its rollout. The investment is intended to support the continuous improvement of detection and response capabilities through hands-on exercises.
GMOサイバーセキュリティ byイエラエ announced that it will invest in Taiwan-based TRAPA Security and disclosed that it has acquired exclusive distribution rights in Japan for TRAPA’s products and services. It will consequently begin offering the TRAPA CYBER RANGE™ attack-and-defense exercise platform, which TRAPA developed, in the Japanese market.
The investment is intended to combine GMO’s attacker-perspective expertise with TRAPA’s exercise environment based on simulated real-world attacks, creating an environment in which corporate security personnel can build practical capabilities not only to “prevent” attacks, but also to detect and respond to them.
TRAPA is a security company headquartered in New Taipei City, Taiwan, providing services ranging from vulnerability research to training for blue teams. Its exercise platform uses scenarios modeled on actual advanced persistent threat (APT) techniques and is characterized by exercises mapped to MITRE ATT&CK and NIST NICE.
Going forward, the companies will strengthen their framework for providing blue-team training through hands-on attack-and-defense exercises alongside services such as vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, providing comprehensive support for cybersecurity measures at Japanese companies.
