The ANA Group worked with KAGOME CO.,LTD. to hold the “Vegetable Day × Body Measurement Event” at ANA Blue Base on 31 August, Vegetable Day. The event, which included Veggie Check and an activity illustrating the daily vegetable-intake target, aimed to encourage healthy lifestyle habits.
The event was held at ANA Blue Base (ABB) on 31 August, organized jointly with KAGOME CO.,LTD. for the second consecutive year. The ANA Group's organizer was its health-management office. A total of 249 group employees participated, with multiple departments and group companies involved from planning through operation.
The main attractions were a “Veggie Check” booth, which estimated and quantified vegetable intake by having participants place their palms on a sensor, and the “Perfect Match Challenge,” which allowed participants to experience the daily target intake of 350g of vegetables. Participants became aware of their usual lack of vegetables and were encouraged to review their everyday diets.
Public health nurses provided health consultations and lifestyle advice, while registered dietitians offered guidance on dietary balance. The event's significance in leading to the development of vegetable-menu initiatives in company cafeterias was emphasized. Experiences such as the Locomo Check were also used to raise awareness of physical activity and health.
KAGOME CO.,LTD. commented that, as part of its vegetable-intake promotion project, introducing Veggie Check can prompt greater awareness of health and behavioral change. Participants said that the event gave them an opportunity to review their lifestyles while enjoying the measurements.
