Matthews' Location MERF Stand and 5/8-inch Grip Rail are now available. Their design makes it easier to level equipment on uneven surfaces such as hills and stairs.
Kenko Professional Imaging, which distributes Matthews' product line, has announced the availability of the Location MERF Stand and 5/8-inch Grip Rail (telescopic baby rail). Suggested retail prices were also announced.
The Location MERF Stand incorporates Rocky Mountain legs that extend by up to 7.6 cm, making it easier to level equipment on uneven terrain. The top section features a 16 mm male spigot, with an undercut design that enhances grip when mounted, and a 1/4-inch screw for attaching accessories.
The stand is made of aluminum and combines light weight with thick-walled construction for strength and portability. Its brake-lock system and T-handle enable quick height adjustments. Specifications are a maximum height of 212 cm, minimum height of 51 cm, foot point of 61 cm, maximum load of 4 kg and weight of 1.1 kg.
