Chubu Electric Power President Yasui Minoru (安井 稔) visited Yaizu and Fujieda in Shizuoka Prefecture in his first visit to the area since taking office as president in October, in connection with the data falsification issue surrounding the review of the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Plant's restart.
The cities visited are located within a 31-kilometre radius of the plant, and the visit is believed to have been intended to assess local conditions and strengthen coordination with relevant parties.
