Sanwa Holdings revised down its full-year earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. While leaving its revenue forecast unchanged from the previous forecast, the company expects lower operating profit, ordinary profit and net income.
Sanwa Holdings announced a revision to its full-year earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, which it published on 14 May 2026. Revenue was left unchanged from the previous forecast at ¥677.0 billion, while operating profit was forecast at ¥72.0 billion, down 11.1% from the previous forecast, ordinary profit at ¥74.0 billion, down 10.3%, and net income attributable to owners of the parent at ¥45.0 billion, down 25.0%. Earnings per share was forecast at ¥216.81, compared with ¥288.08 in the previous forecast.
The company explained that although domestic operations remain solid, lower sales volumes resulting from a slowdown in overseas markets and inflation-driven increases in raw material and other costs have weighed on earnings. The recognition of restructuring costs also contributed to the profit forecast reductions. Revenue was maintained at the previous forecast level, supported by the increasing pass-through of higher selling prices and foreign-exchange effects.
