Iwatsuka Confectionery announced the dissolution and liquidation of its wholly owned subsidiary 田辺菓子舗. Located in Kamo, Niigata Prefecture, 田辺菓子舗 was established in 2009.
Since 2015, 田辺菓子舗 has operated as an Iwatsuka Confectionery subsidiary, with the manufacture and sale of karintō confectionery as its main business. The decision to end operations and dissolve the company was made to improve operating efficiency and make more effective use of management resources.
Manufacturing and sales at the subsidiary are expected to end in March 2027, with completion of the liquidation scheduled for December of the same year, or thereabouts. The impact on consolidated results is expected to be minor.
