tvOS 27.2 distributed to current Apple TV 4K (2nd and 3rd generations) is provided as build 24K122, but Siri AI is reportedly not yet enabled. By contrast, a separate build, 24K154, has been released for the new Apple TV 4K, with 1 report that Siri AI is working.
According to information from 9to5Mac, 24K154 applies only to the new model and has not been applied to current models. It has also been pointed out that the official description of 27.2 differs from the version actually being distributed.
Siri AI, including Japanese-language support, is scheduled to roll out in 8 countries, including English-language markets, but Japanese-language support is not included in the tvOS rollout. The new model goes on sale on 13 November, and the timing of Japanese-language support in Japan remains undecided.
Some users overseas had expected 27.2 to come to current models, but for now, reports of it working on the new model are appearing first. The next step is to await developments regarding a new build for current models.
