The disclosures surrounding TIER IV’s listing on the TSE Growth Market in July 2026 coincide with growing attention in Autoware-related applications to Morpho’s markerless calibration technology. In its third-quarter results after listing, revenue increased year on year, while higher research and development expenses and an ordinary loss also became apparent.
TIER IV, the company commercializing the autonomous driving software “Autoware,” listed on the TSE Growth Market on 22 July 2026. The offering price was ¥1,085, and its results disclosure shortly after listing showed revenue of ¥5.178 billion for the nine months ended June 2026, a 30.0% year-on-year increase. Morpho announced Morpho Visual Calibrator on 17 December 2025, drawing attention as a technology that uses AI to estimate the relative positions of multiple vehicle-mounted cameras and calibrate them. On 2 September 2026, Morpho and Astemo announced the joint development of automotive camera technology for software-defined vehicles, so lining up the announcement dates alone could make it appear that TIER IV’s adoption announcement came first.
The government has set a target of expanding the number of autonomous-driving service vehicles nationwide to around 10,000 by FY2030, and in FY2026 expanded the scope of projects eligible for support under its project to promote the social implementation of autonomous driving. As the market moves toward practical deployment, peripheral technologies such as camera calibration are increasingly being positioned as important components of the software market. TIER IV has also announced a collaboration with Renesas Electronics combining “R-Car Gen5” with Autoware.
