ITOCHU Corporation and 三信住建 have commenced a capital and business alliance, paving the way for new cooperation in real estate development. The companies aim to enhance the quality and breadth of their business by deepening collaboration in asset acquisitions, product planning and governance.
As conditions in the real estate market become increasingly challenging, ITOCHU Corporation and 三信住建 have commenced a capital and business alliance. The companies have indicated that they will work together to enhance the quality and breadth of their business by leveraging their mutual trust, industry networks and ability to make decisions quickly.
三信住建 identifies its people and organisational capabilities as the source of its competitiveness since its founding. Built around these strengths, the company has established an integrated system covering planning and development, construction, sales and management, starting with land acquisition. The speed with which it moves from gathering information to making decisions is regarded as one of its strengths, and the importance of combining this capability with support from ITOCHU has been emphasised.
Since the alliance began, projects involving for-sale condominiums, rental housing, senior housing and logistics facilities have been progressing, while numerous projects, including hotels, are in preparation. The alliance is being driven by the strong cultural fit between the two companies and their shared ability to maintain discipline in investment decisions and governance.
Going forward, the companies plan to expand their collaboration in real estate and explore new areas, while coordinating with developments at ITOCHU Urban Development and the JR East Group. The two companies aim to create an alliance in which “1 + 1 becomes 5 or even 10,” and expect to extend its value to society at large.
