Starbucks Coffee Japan has announced a new latte inspired by Pikachu. 6 baristas selected from more than 700 entries will compete with their recipes, and sales are scheduled to begin on 30 September.
Starbucks Coffee Japan announced on its official X account a new product, “Pikachu Honey Cream Latte,” created in collaboration with Pokémon. The beverage is based on a café latte made with espresso and milk, uses a yellow caramel honey sauce combining honey and caramel, and is topped with caramel honey-flavored whipped cream. Its appearance is centered on yellow, with chocolate sauce and red heart-shaped sugar toppings decorating the whipped cream.
The product is positioned as the champion beverage in the “Barista Battle,” a competition in which 6 baristas selected from more than 700 entries compete with their new recipes. The announcement date was communicated on the official X account, and sales are scheduled to begin on 30 September.
