Based on a report by the Nikkei electronic edition, DMG MORI has announced plans to build a new cast-parts plant in Przysiek, central Poland. The new plant will have more than 27,000 square metres of total floor space and annual production capacity of up to 20,000 tonnes, with an investment of ¥14 billion. The aim is to increase in-house production of key components in Europe and establish a stable supply chain. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, with production targeted to start by the end of 2026.
DENSO announced that its share buyback would be capped at 100 million shares and ¥200 billion, with the acquisition period running from 30 October 2026 to 31 March 2027. The shares to be acquired will represent approximately 3.99% of total shares issued, and the company also plans to cancel 400 million treasury shares. The cancellation date is set for 30 November 2026.
On the same date, DENSO announced consolidated operating profit of ¥170.15 billion for the first half of the fiscal year ending March 2027, down 19.5% year on year. Higher vehicle sales and the expansion of electrification and safety products contributed to revenue, while higher materials costs and increased development investment weighed on profit.
Flect announced that its share price had risen for 7 consecutive trading days and that Intermestic had supported the development of Zoff's AI staff member, “Zoffie.” Zoffie is built on Agentforce and has been introduced at 22 stores as of the current date. The company will continue to draw on its expertise in generative AI technology and the Salesforce platform.
Kimura Unity reported first-half operating profit of ¥2.88 billion, up 24.0% from the previous fiscal year, supported by increased orders for domestic logistics services.
Paycloud HD announced that its consolidated subsidiary Arara had suffered unauthorised access to its email distribution service, resulting in the leakage of approximately 3.01 million items of personal information outside the company. The affected servers have been isolated from the network, and measures to prevent recurrence are under way. Going forward, the company plans to inspect vulnerabilities across all services and strengthen its security framework.
