SpicyCompany will begin providing system development and design support through white-hat hackers in anticipation of increased cyberattacks in the AI era. It will provide a phased redesign centered on separating data and systems.
SpicyCompany has launched an initiative through a group company to support the design of cyber defenses centered on separating data and systems. It will provide phased support for taking inventory of existing systems, identifying critical data, and separating access privileges, networks, and storage locations. The initiative incorporates advice from Muto Yoshitaka (武藤佳恭), professor emeritus at Keio University.
The background is the increasing sophistication of cyberattacks driven by advances in generative AI. It has been pointed out that improvements in multilingual processing accuracy, including Japanese, could accelerate attackers’ analysis and vulnerability searches.
The offering includes redesigns involving the logical and physical separation of business systems and critical data, the separation of access privileges and networks, the separation of authentication infrastructure, the separation of storage locations, the use of offline environments, and multilayered defenses based on zero-trust principles.
Going forward, SpicyCompany will focus not only on conventional vulnerability assessments but also on redesigning companies’ information systems as a whole into structures capable of withstanding attacks. It is taking a position that encourages early action in response to the automation and increasing sophistication of cyberattacks.
