Nishikawa Keisoku announced a 10-for-1 stock split, with 31 December as the record date and 1 January 2027 as the effective date. The split will not change the stated capital, and the company explained that it aims to improve liquidity by lowering the investment unit.
Nishikawa Keisoku resolved to conduct a stock split at a ratio of 10 shares for every common share and announced the details. The record date is 31 December 2026, and the effective date is 1 January 2027.
The total number of shares after the split is expected to be 10 times higher, while the theoretical price per share is expected to be one-tenth of its pre-split level. The split itself, however, will not increase the company’s earnings or cash. The explanation emphasises that the value of shares already held and the amount invested in new purchases should be considered separately.
For example, before the split, 100 shares × ¥10,000 = ¥1 million. After the split, 1,000 shares × a theoretical ¥1,000 = ¥1 million, so the total value is considered unchanged. Market prices can move, however, so the future valuation is not fixed.
