iTips Co., Ltd. has begun collaborating with エフワンエヌ through its Indian subsidiary to commercialize the AXSP waterproofing method in the Indian market. The 1-year period following execution of the agreement will be used for preparation and evaluation, including market research, sales activities, the acquisition of technical and construction know-how, and consideration of a construction operating structure.
iTips India will handle sales activities and local resources in India, while エフワンエヌ will provide product knowledge, construction technology, and sales know-how. The AYSP waterproofing method uses a composite coating combining rubber asphalt-based and high-strength urethane-based materials, and is characterized by technology that improves substrate preparation and adhesion.
As construction demand expands in India, stabilizing waterproofing technology and construction quality has become an issue. Against this backdrop, the two companies will examine the potential for bringing waterproofing construction based on Japanese quality to the local market.
As part of the collaboration, the parties will seek to expand into the waterproofing field by using the oyakata framework, a “manufacturing workforce development platform” focused on developing local talent and ensuring stable field operations.
Going forward, the companies are considering initiatives aimed at developing local talent and fostering the sustainable development of field operations, including practical training for current OSTC students and the future creation of employment and work opportunities for graduates.
