ダイイチ sharply revised its full-year net profit forecast downward from the previous forecast of ¥1.2 billion to ¥200 million after the market close on 25 September. Net profit is now expected to fall sharply from the ¥970 million profit recorded in the same period of the previous year.
In its results for the current fiscal year, ダイイチ revised its full-year net profit forecast (on a non-consolidated basis) downward from the previous forecast of ¥1.2 billion to ¥200 million. The company attributed the revision to the deterioration in the earnings environment caused by higher prices resulting from the worsening situation in the Middle East, rising energy prices and surging prices for oil-refining materials, despite sales continuing in line with plan. As a result, net profit for the current fiscal year is expected to be ¥200 million, making a loss for the period unavoidable.
For the second-half outlook, the bottom-line result for the April-September period was reduced from the previous forecast of a ¥520 million profit to a ¥470 million loss. This is expected to mark a turnaround from the ¥420 million profit recorded in the same period of the previous year. The revised materials also indicated that operating profit and ordinary profit would be weaker than planned, while the recognition of a ¥1,326 million extraordinary loss is expected to result in a net loss.
As part of the revision to the current fiscal year's earnings forecast, the outlook now reflects a turnaround to a loss, with the full-year net profit forecast sharply revised downward from ¥1,200 million to ¥200 million. Accordingly, forecasts for earnings per share and dividends were both revised downward, and 2026-09-25 was given as the results announcement date.
