Takamura Kotaro (髙村耕太郎) has reached three years since becoming president of Huis Ten Bosch and, in an interview, expressed his intention to enhance regional value by adding new attractions and working with surrounding municipalities. Regarding renewed efforts to attract an IR, he did not express a view at this stage and made clear that the company intends to take a wait-and-see approach.
With becoming a top-tier theme park as its goal, Huis Ten Bosch explained that it has introduced 3 new attractions to date, and indicated that it has achieved “roughly half” of that goal. Takamura expressed the view that 5 iconic experiences are needed and said that 1 or 2 more additions are necessary.
Huis Ten Bosch is under the umbrella of investment company PAG and plans to introduce new attractions featuring Miffy and Evangelion from June 2025 onward. Visitor numbers increased to 1.3 times the level a year earlier in April 2026, and the park is scheduled to open its first roller coaster in spring 2027.
Regarding the shift in its business model toward a resort focused on extended stays, the company indicated that it would establish the Nishi-Kyushu Sasebo Wide Area Urban Zone Council, comprising 12 municipalities in Nagasaki and Saga prefectures, and the General Incorporated Association Hizen, and continue working with local governments.
