Samyang Group revamped the management teams of Samyang Holdings and Samyang Corporation, appointing an internal candidate as head of the Food Group. It outlined plans to strengthen cooperation between the flavor business, which acquired Japan's SODA AROMATIC in June, and its existing materials businesses.
Samyang Group reorganized the management teams of its holding company and Samyang Corporation. For the long-vacant position of head of Samyang Corporation's Food Group, it promoted an internal candidate and designated a finance specialist as a prospective next representative. The personnel changes, aimed at stabilizing the organization, strengthening internal controls and expanding the specialty business, took effect on the 1st.
Jeong Ji-seok (鄭智錫) was appointed the new head of the Food Group and is scheduled to become a representative director following the regular shareholders' meeting in March next year. Vice President Kim Ji-seop (金智燮) was also promoted to head of the Staff Group at Samyang Holdings, where he will oversee the finance function, with the aim of strengthening compliance and financial capabilities.
Representative Eom Tae-ung (嚴泰雄) had led the group for many years, but decided to retire after determining that the organization had stabilized following the bid-rigging case and that a foundation had been established for expanding the specialty food business through the acquisition of a flavor company. Organizational restructuring by business division was also carried out, with each division head either newly appointed or promoted.
