MICARD, a subsidiary of Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings, is scheduled to begin issuing MICARD+ THE ONE in early February 2027. Issuance will be limited to customers who meet the requirements for an invitation.
The card, which includes Visa Infinite benefits, will offer the highest-tier services at Isetan Mitsukoshi Group department stores and is described as the first such offering at a department store in Japan. The card design is supervised by Living National Treasure Komori Kun'e (小森 邦衞).
The annual fee is ¥77,000 for the primary cardholder and free for family cardholders, with up to 4 cards available. Applications are invitation-only and limited to customers who meet the requirements.
Purchases at Isetan Mitsukoshi Group department stores qualify for up to 11% in points, while some eligible departments will award 2% in points on purchases that were normally excluded. Annual spending may qualify cardholders for a bonus of up to 50,000 points.
Linking the card automatically upgrades the holder to Gold status, making parking discounts, salon and lounge services, store attendants and other services available. Travel benefits include priority arrangements for tours, airport lounges, preferential JAL mileage rates and travel insurance.
