The souvenir confectionery brand Kurumi-do will open on 10/8 on Zenkoji Nakamise Street. St.Cousair CO.,LTD. announced a business partnership with Ricky Business Solution and outlined plans to accelerate its nationwide expansion.
The Shinshu souvenir confectionery brand Kurumi-do opened on Zenkoji Nakamise Street, and a press briefing outlined the store and plans for a new confectionery business. The briefing set out a policy of establishing a food SPA model, integrating confectionery development, manufacturing and sales, beginning with the store during 2026. The initiative aims to create a regional brand that can be passed on to the next generation.
Kurumi-do plans to offer 26 types and 47 items. Its flagship product is Kurumichel, a walnut caramel cream wrapped in a sable biscuit. The brand aims to create a Shinshu specialty confectionery that will be loved for 100 years alongside visitors' memories of Zenkoji, while developing products that symbolize the region's food culture by carrying forward the resources of its historic buildings.
The company aims to grow the business to approximately ¥5 billion in sales by 2035. To accelerate nationwide expansion of its confectionery business, it entered into a business partnership with Ricky Business Solution Co., Ltd. The two companies will combine their expertise and regional networks to develop sales channels, including regional banks.
The partnership is intended to improve the effectiveness of nationwide expansion by combining St.Cousair CO.,LTD.'s expertise in product development, manufacturing and retail, built up over the years, with Ricky Business Solution's network of regional financial institutions and local governments.
