Entering the second year since the launch of its medium-term management plan “TOYO ADVANCE5,” TOYO SHUTTER CO.,LTD. has indicated that it will accelerate the rollout of growth-strategy products without relying on the non-residential sector. Attention is focused on the expansion of Phase Free products and “Make With” activities, through which products are created together with customers.
Looking back at FY2025, construction investment was strong, but operating profit edged down year on year due to a decline in non-residential construction floor area. With no recovery in non-residential construction floor area expected in FY2026, the company sees expanding its retail and maintenance divisions, thorough profitability management and passing through higher costs as key challenges in securing volume.
The company plans to raise its sales target for growth-strategy products from approximately ¥700 million to ¥2 billion. It also expects to deliver approximately 100 flood-prevention sliding doors, jointly developed with a port-facilities company in Osaka, over the next several years, and intends to strengthen promotion through upstream sales activities. In talent development, the company will enhance training by job level and e-learning, while strengthening education through networking events for younger employees and the Okada School.
Looking further ahead, the company indicated that it is also monitoring developments in national resilience and defense-facility development, and wants to pursue product development and sales-channel creation suited to these fields. The article also touches on his hobby of rearranging rooms.
