Nestlé has begun construction of the state-of-the-art House of NESCAFÉ Thailand coffee plant in Thailand, investing THB 23 billion and using AI and robotics. Operations are targeted to begin in the second half of 2028.
Swiss food giant Nestlé announced that it will invest THB 23 billion to build a new coffee plant at ARAYA Industrial Estate in Samut Prakan, Thailand. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on 21 October, and the company positions the plant as a key production hub for expanding output in Southeast Asia.
The House of NESCAFÉ Thailand plant is planned to produce a broad range of NESCAFÉ-branded products, including instant coffee, seasoned powdered coffee and canned coffee. It will introduce advanced automation systems, including AI and robotics. The site will also include a logistics center with an automated warehouse and a coffee innovation center.
As environmental measures, the plant aims to operate on 100% renewable energy and will introduce biomass fuels, waste-heat recovery and water-reuse systems. It will also pursue zero waste sent to landfill. The new plant is expected to create more than 500 jobs.
The company plans to source approximately THB 4.3 billion worth of raw materials annually from farmers and suppliers in Thailand, including coffee beans, sugar and fresh milk. Nestlé said it will continue providing technical training and high-quality seedlings to local farmers to support long-term growth.
