SkyDrive announced that Stéphane Ginoux was appointed as an advisor to the company effective 1 August 2026. Ginoux has served as President of Airbus Japan and Airbus Representative for North Asia, leading business expansion in the Japanese and North Asian markets.
The company said it would leverage Ginoux's extensive business development experience in the aviation industry and his networks with government authorities and business partners to further promote the real-world deployment of Japan-developed flying cars and their international expansion, particularly in Asia.
In his comments, Ginoux said he aimed to help create a society in which air mobility could be used routinely as a new form of People Mobility, drawing on the expertise in technology, regulatory frameworks and collaboration that he had developed over many years. SkyDrive's Representative Director and CEO expects him to provide strategic support for business development in Japan and Asia and for strengthening collaboration.
Under its mission of driving a once-in-a-century mobility revolution, SkyDrive plans to accelerate the practical application and global expansion of Japan-developed flying cars. The company is said to have successfully conducted Japan's first public manned flight test in 2020 and held a demonstration flight at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo.
