Wellness Communications Corporation will acquire SMS CO.,LTD.'s stress-check business and strengthen the provision of mental-health solutions focused on the medical care and welfare sectors.
Wellness Communications Corporation announced that it will acquire a newly established company succeeding SMS CO.,LTD.'s stress-check outsourcing services business. Through the acquisition, the company will gain a customer base and operating expertise in the medical care and welfare sectors and seek to strengthen its mental-health solutions.
Following the acquisition, the company will strengthen its service delivery capabilities for medical institutions by using its health-management cloud, health-screening outsourcing business and Growbase Mentally, an integrated analysis platform for stress checks and engagement surveys. It aims to expand its customer base, primarily among medical institutions and nursing-care operators, and plans to support their management and human-resources challenges.
The stress-check market is expected to expand as the amended Industrial Safety and Health Act, which takes effect in April 2028, is expected to extend the mandatory requirement to particularly small workplaces. The market for the medical care and welfare sectors is forecast to grow from ¥2.0 billion in fiscal 2025 to ¥4.1 billion in fiscal 2030. Against this backdrop, the company will accelerate the provision of services focused on the medical care and welfare sectors.
