SOMPO Risk Management and Resilire have announced a business alliance to help Japanese companies visualize their supply chains and integrate risk assessment and mitigation. Sompo Japan will accelerate the provision of insurance solutions.
As background and objectives, the parties identify the visualization and assessment of risks across entire supply chains, including Tier 2 and beyond as well as Tier 1, and the integration of mitigation measures as urgent challenges amid rising geopolitical risks, natural disasters, cyberattacks and ESG demands. The alliance was formed to strengthen the provision of advanced supply chain risk management for Japanese companies by combining Resilire’s visibility platform with SOMPO Risk Management’s expertise.
The offering’s value and distinguishing features include an integrated framework for supporting the visualization, assessment and mitigation of risks across all hazard areas, as well as an ecosystem-based solution covering everything from supply chain visibility to risk control and risk financing. Collaboration that draws on external assessments and partner organizations will also advance data-driven risk assessment.
Looking ahead, the parties aim to contribute to the advancement of supply chain risk management for Japanese companies through this business alliance and to build resilient, sustainable supply chains. Through the collaboration, Sompo Japan will develop solutions addressing global challenges, including closing protection gaps against risk.
Sompo Japan’s role is explicitly defined as accelerating the provision of solutions, including risk financing, and the parties intend to collaborate within the three-party framework.
