Bloomberg reports that a touch-enabled OLED MacBook Pro and new iPad mini will be announced around 27 October, U.S. time, with the announcements expected to be made available in Japan between the night of the 27th and the morning of the 28th.
According to Bloomberg, a MacBook Pro with a touch-enabled OLED display and a new iPad mini are scheduled to be announced around 27 October, U.S. time. OLED and touch functionality are expected to be combined in the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, while an M6-equipped 14-inch MBP and an M6-equipped iMac are also reportedly set to be announced on the same day.
In Japan, the announcements are expected to reach the market between the night of the 27th and the morning of the 28th, Japan time. Taking into account the time difference between the U.S. East and West coasts, several possible formats and times have been suggested for the announcements in Japan.
The OLED-equipped iPad mini is reportedly set to feature a landscape-oriented front camera and redesigned speakers, while the 60Hz display may be retained. Details of the touch functionality and the chips to be used are expected to be disclosed again on the day of the announcement.
The event is expected to comprise an online presentation similar to that held on the 13th, together with hands-on demonstrations for members of the press. Official prices, preorder dates and release dates for each model remain undecided.
In total, 4 products are expected to be announced in the U.S. on the 27th, while the release dates and prices in Japan are not expected to be known until the day of the announcement.
