Rakuten Pay has appointed comedy duo Nasunakanishi as Toyama Prefecture’s exclusive “One-Day Life Support Captains,” aiming to promote cashless payments in the prefecture. The appointment will begin on 1 October 2026.
Rakuten Payment announced that, as a new initiative limited to Toyama Prefecture under its cashless payment service “Rakuten Pay,” comedy duo Nasunakanishi will serve as the “Toyama Prefecture One-Day Life Support Captain.”
The appointees are the comedy duo Nasunakanishi, who will promote the convenience of cashless payments in the prefecture from the same day.
The initiative is intended to expand the use of Rakuten Pay in Toyama Prefecture and raise awareness of a cashless environment that supports daily life in the region.
