Chinese state media reported the ministerial appointments in the Second Takaichi Sanae reshuffled Cabinet and focused on Nippon Ishin no Kai's shift toward cooperation within the Cabinet. The reports discussed former secretary-general Hiroshi Nakatsuka (中司宏) becoming minister in charge of regulatory reform, in the context of continued criticism that this would accelerate the Japanese government's shift to the right and a new form of militarism.
Chinese state media reported on the formation of the Second Takaichi Sanae reshuffled Cabinet and focused on Nippon Ishin no Kai's shift toward cooperation within the Cabinet. They suggested that the tougher stance toward Japan would continue and also expressed interest in the direction of Japan's military expansion policies.
China Central Television reported that Hiroshi Nakatsuka (中司宏), former secretary-general of Nippon Ishin no Kai, had joined the Cabinet as minister in charge of regulatory reform, and introduced the view of a researcher at a Chinese government-affiliated think tank that this would accelerate the Japanese government's shift to the right. It described Ishin as being based on "hard-line nationalism" and reported commentary that the shift toward cooperation within the Cabinet would further accelerate the Takaichi administration's new militarism.
Xinhua News Agency also focused on Ishin's shift toward cooperation within the Cabinet, as well as the fact that Yoshimasa Hayashi (林芳正), who competed with the prime ministerial candidate in last year's LDP presidential election, had not joined the Cabinet as minister of internal affairs and communications. It reported that experts assessed the appointments as showing that "Ms. Takaichi will continue to actively pursue policies of military expansion and aggressive fiscal spending."
