Tsukuba Bank's consolidated net profit for April-September 2026 rose 29% year on year to ¥4.9 billion, prompting an upward revision from the previous forecast. The increase in interest on loans, gains on the sale of shares and the recording of a gain on the return of the retirement benefit trust contributed.
Tsukuba Bank announced its results for April-September 2026, reporting consolidated net profit of ¥4.9 billion, up 29% year on year. The forecast was revised above the previous estimate of ¥3.2 billion.
Consolidated ordinary profit, meanwhile, was revised down from ¥3.9 billion to ¥3.7 billion, widening the decline from the year-earlier period. The decrease in the contribution from gains on the sale of shares and other securities and the recording of losses on bond sales affected the result.
The full-year net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 is under review, and the previous forecast of ¥6.7 billion remains unchanged at present. The recording of a gain on the return of the retirement benefit trust was also cited as a factor pushing up profit.
