Added contractor coordination functionality to the town information aggregation and dissemination service “PosRe®,” enabling centralized management of repair response status and other information

TOPPAN, a group company of TOPPAN Holdings, has added a contractor coordination feature to PosRe, its town information aggregation and dissemination service, enabling local governments to centralize the process of sending reports received from residents to contractors commissioned to perform repairs and managing completion reports. The aim is to reduce the workload of local government staff and improve resident services.

Under the new feature, contractors’ names and contact details can be registered and selected when entering an issue, triggering an automatic request email and enabling real-time monitoring of the contractor’s response status. Approvals and requests for revisions to completion reports can also be handled within the system, with notifications including additional notes when revisions are requested. A dedicated contractor interface, detailed access-permission settings and a dedicated chat function are also provided.

The pilot project in Omuta City was conducted from 1 June to 31 August 2026. It confirmed the effectiveness of reducing manual work involved in placing orders with contractors and improving internal administrative operations. Participants were TOPPAN and the Civil Engineering Management Division of Omuta City’s Urban Development Department. The results included correcting the uneven concentration of workload on specific staff members and improving business continuity.

As a future goal, TOPPAN has indicated that it will continue improving PosRe’s functionality, expand its rollout of DX services for local governments and target ¥1 billion in revenue in fiscal 2028. PosRe centrally manages and disseminates resident posts and IoT data, providing one-stop support for local governments’ information gathering and public communication.
