Warabi City and Market Enterprise entered into an agreement on reuse services. Through public-private collaboration, the parties aim to direct residents’ unwanted items to reuse and help create a circular economy.
On 26 October 2026, Warabi City entered into a collaboration agreement with Market Enterprise covering reuse services. The agreement aims to promote the reuse of residents’ unwanted items rather than their disposal, using the Oikura reuse platform.
Market Enterprise provides Oikura, a service that allows users to request valuations from participating reuse shops nationwide in a single application. The company has also contributed to regional revitalisation and the promotion of the SDGs.
Going forward, information about Oikura will be posted on the Warabi City website, allowing residents to apply directly for a single valuation of unwanted items. The service also supports on-site purchasing, with the aim of expanding opportunities to sell large items and products covered by the Home Appliance Recycling Law.
The agreement is expected to reduce waste, stimulate the secondary market and lower municipalities’ waste-processing costs.
