ALP, a logistics warehouse operator, has announced plans to open an automated warehouse near Bangkok, Thailand. The site covers approximately 200,000 square meters, with part of the facility scheduled to begin operations ahead of the rest. The company said it will install automated transport equipment to increase handling speed by approximately three times compared with manual labor.
Construction costs are estimated at approximately THB 10 billion (approximately ¥46 billion), and the company plans to complete the entire facility around 2027, including frozen-storage facilities and other infrastructure. It is expected to be one of Thailand’s largest automated warehouses and among the largest in Southeast Asia.
The company uses a model under which multiple shippers occupy the facility as tenants, with fees determined according to required capacity and logistics volumes. Target customers include foreign-affiliated manufacturers with operations in Thailand.
ALP is a Taiwanese company established in 2014 and operates more than 20 automated warehouses, primarily in Southeast Asia. Five additional sites are currently under construction, and the company has set a target of expanding to 48 sites overall. Total investment is expected to reach $8 billion.
