South Korea's Financial Services Commission announced that it will hold “Korea Premium Week 2026,” one of the country's largest IR events, from the 28th of this month to the 16th of next month. The event is being held for the first time, with the aim of showcasing the international competitiveness of Asia's capital markets.
The event will be co-hosted by the Financial Services Commission and the Korea Exchange, with 42 institutions, including securities-related organisations, the financial investment industry and media organisations, and 55 listed companies participating. Events that had previously been held separately will be brought together to create synergies and establish a forum for dialogue with investors.
Approximately 25 events will be held during the period, including an international conference for institutional investors in the opening week. Discussions will cover issues facing the equity market, governance and proposed reforms to the foreign exchange market, while the vision for the Korea Premium era will also be considered.
Ito Yutaka (伊藤豊), Commissioner of Japan's Financial Services Agency, and senior executives from major US asset managers and financial institutions are scheduled to attend the opening ceremony and deliver congratulatory remarks. From the second week onward, IR activities by KOSDAQ companies and events led by private-sector financial institutions will be held in succession.
