Sansha Electric Manufacturing Co.,Ltd. has developed a multi-use bidirectional DC/DC converter compatible with diverse DC power sources and equipment, including solar power generation, battery storage, fuel cells and water electrolysis systems. Output per unit is 250 kW, and the system can be expanded to a maximum of 1 MW through parallel connection.
The product's key feature is its parallel redundant configuration. If a module fails, operation can continue using the other modules, avoiding a shutdown of the entire system. Maintenance work can be reduced by replacing only the failed module.
In terms of technology, the converter achieves high conversion efficiency through the use of in-house SiC MOSFETs. Its multi-use design can be optimised for applications such as solar power generation, battery storage, fuel cells and water electrolysis equipment by changing the settings at the time of shipment.
The company positions the product as a core component of DC microgrids and plans to strengthen its presence in the industrial market, with a view to reducing installation costs through standardisation across applications and enabling future equipment expansion. Orders are scheduled to begin in October 2026.
