LG StanbyME 2 Max has been launched in the Japanese market, introducing a new viewing style centered on using a 32-inch 4K display that can be moved rather than fixed in place. It runs for up to approximately 4.5 hours on its built-in battery and supports standalone use through multiple installation formats and its built-in webOS.
LG Electronics Japan’s StanbyME 2 Max, launched in the Japanese market, is distinguished above all by its movable display, which is not fixed in place. It offers full-featured 32-inch 4K specifications and supports multiple installation formats, including a caster-equipped stand, a freestanding stand and flat placement. Its built-in battery provides up to approximately 4.5 hours of operation.
Conventional displays are generally placed at the center of a room on the assumption that the family will gather around them. This product takes a different approach, allowing users to bring the display to wherever it is needed and use it in line with the flow of daily life, including in the living room, at a desk, beside the bed or on a terrace. It also supports screen rotation, making it suitable for vertical as well as widescreen content.
StanbyME 2 Max is equipped with webOS, enabling standalone access to streaming services and web browsing over Wi-Fi. Smartphone video can be displayed on the large screen via AirPlay or Google Cast, while PCs and game consoles can be connected via USB-C or HDMI. It is also intended to serve as an additional large screen that complements a smartphone display.
