FY2027 Q1 delivered higher revenue and profit, but profit progress against the full-year plan remains low

In FY2027 Q1, revenue was ¥9.892 billion, up 7.4% year on year, while operating profit was ¥324 million, up 10.0%. Ordinary profit was ¥680 million, up 25.9%, and net income attributable to owners of the parent was ¥624 million, up 102.2%. On the surface, profit growth exceeded revenue growth.

However, revenue progress against the full-year forecast of ¥63.0 billion was 15.7%, while operating profit progress against the ¥7.9 billion forecast was 4.1%. Because of quarterly seasonality, comparisons with a simple 25% Q1 progress benchmark require caution, but operating profit is progressing more slowly than revenue. FY2026 H1, the relevant comparison period, recorded revenue of ¥24.505 billion and operating profit of ¥2.286 billion. The next results will need to confirm whether revenue and profit growth was achieved in the first half relative to these levels.

Net income included special gains such as a ¥273.625 million gain on the sale of investment securities, so the 102.2% increase in net income cannot be regarded solely as an improvement in operating activities. This disclosure did not provide an FY2027 H1 earnings forecast, order intake, order backlog or regional revenue. In the next results, we will check progress in operating profit and ordinary profit, profit growth excluding special gains and losses, and whether the full-year forecasts of ¥63.0 billion and ¥7.9 billion are maintained or revised.
