TMS-007 (JX10) is being evaluated in ORION, a global Phase 2/3 trial led by CORXEL. Following global FPI in May 2025, dosing of the first subject in Japan began in February 2026. In FY2026-Q3, the focus is on whether actual enrollment figures, progress in the Japanese component and the conditions for the next milestone have moved into the execution phase.

TMS-007 (JX10) is advancing through development in the ORION trial for acute ischemic stroke. According to the company’s disclosures, the global Phase 2/3 trial led by CORXEL began in February 2025, with the first patient dosed in May 2025. Subsequently, Timus joined the trial in Japan as the trial sponsor, reaching dosing of the first subject in Japan in February 2026. In FY2026-Q3, the focus shifts from confirming the event that FPI has been achieved to checking quantitative progress, including cumulative enrollment and the number of subjects dosed.
The commercialisation pathway is also tied to the terms of the partnership agreement, rather than being solely a matter of R&D progress. Timus has exclusive development and commercialisation rights for TMS-007 in Japan, while it has the right to receive milestone payments and royalties for development and commercialisation outside Japan. Earlier explanations indicated that completion of dosing for the fifth subject in the Phase 3 trial outside Japan was expected to be the next milestone. In Q3, it will therefore be necessary to confirm whether this condition remains in place and whether the expected timing of achievement is approaching.
Regarding the Japanese component, CORXEL is to reimburse 75% of trial costs incurred in Japan, subject to a cap of $10 million. This may limit future cash outflows, but the timing of when the contractual reimbursement will be recognised as an actual cash receipt, non-operating income or milestone revenue is a separate issue. In the most recent interim period, the company recorded no operating revenue, an operating loss of ¥392.262 million and cash outflows from operating activities of ¥339.104 million. ORION’s progress therefore needs to be assessed separately from the timing of revenue recognition.
At the next results announcement, the minimum items to check are cumulative enrollment in the global trial, the number of countries and sites involved, and the number of subjects dosed in Japan. Other key points will be whether milestone or royalty income from CORXEL has been recognised, whether the contractual terms triggered by dosing of the fifth subject have changed, and whether R&D expenses borne by Timus have increased or decreased. If the company provides only a qualitative statement that enrollment is progressing smoothly without disclosing enrollment or site numbers, it will be difficult to determine whether ORION’s progress has moved closer to financial monetisation.
ORION has advanced from global initiation to dosing in Japan, but the next assessment points are confirmation of enrollment figures and execution of the milestone conditions.
