In FY2027-H1, revenue rose 14.8% year on year to ¥6,711 million, while operating profit fell 22.9% to ¥546 million, resulting in higher revenue but lower profit. The focus is whether revenue growth from recognizing projects can absorb higher personnel and production costs and a weaker order environment.

Whether the operating margin will improve in the next disclosure after falling from approximately 12.1% in the year-earlier period to approximately 8.1%
Whether the company can generate ¥654 million of operating profit in the second half, given a first-half progress rate of 45.5% against the full-year forecast of ¥1,200 million
Whether the decline in profit at the Advertising Solutions business, which fell 59.7% year on year to ¥82.640 million, will narrow
Whether the Technical Solutions business, whose profit fell 2.5% year on year to ¥804.117 million, will return to profit growth
In FY2026-H1, revenue was ¥5,845 million and operating profit was ¥708 million. Revenue rose 29.5% year on year and operating profit increased 310.8%. By contrast, FY2027-H1 revenue was ¥6,711 million and operating profit was ¥546 million. Revenue growth slowed to 14.8%, while operating profit declined 22.9%. A simple calculation puts the operating margin at approximately 8.1%, down about 4.0 percentage points from approximately 12.1% in the year-earlier period. The key issue has therefore shifted from revenue scale itself to the ability to convert projects into profit.
By segment, revenue in the Advertising Solutions business rose 21.0% year on year to ¥3,059.860 million, but segment profit fell 59.7% to ¥82.640 million. The Technical Solutions business also posted higher revenue, up 10.1% to ¥3,651.468 million, but segment profit fell 2.5% to ¥804.117 million. Both businesses generated higher revenue but lower profit, indicating pressure on margins across the group rather than a temporary downturn confined to Advertising Solutions.
The company attributed the pressure on profit to front-loaded personnel costs from increased hiring for future expansion in the SP and Events division, and weaker orders and higher production costs in the TVCM division. Accordingly, the next results disclosure should be assessed not simply on whether revenue exceeded the prior-year level, but on whether newly hired personnel were converted into projects, revenue and profit, and whether higher production costs were absorbed through price pass-through or cost control. At present, the company has not disclosed the increase in personnel costs by factor, the increase in production costs or changes in order pricing.
The full-year forecast has been raised to revenue of ¥13,500 million and operating profit of ¥1,200 million. Based on first-half results, progress rates are 49.7% for revenue and 45.5% for operating profit, requiring second-half revenue of ¥6,789 million and operating profit of ¥654 million to meet the forecasts. The required second-half operating margin is approximately 9.6%, above the first-half result of approximately 8.1%. In the next disclosure, it will be important to determine, together with segment profit, whether the margin decline in the first half was a one-time front-loaded investment or structural cost pressure that will persist into the second half.
