FY2026 results expanded to ¥10,226 million in revenue and ¥1,069 million in operating profit, while the company's FY2027 forecast calls for a significant decline to ¥8,000 million in revenue and ¥500 million in operating profit. The key question is whether the outlook, which reflects the reaction to GIGA replacement demand and the transfer of the career guidance business, will remain unchanged as of FY2027-H1.

Confirm the explanation for the gap versus the Sixth Medium-Term Management Plan's initial targets of ¥11,000 million in revenue and ¥850 million in operating profit.
The company's ongoing themes and initiatives this watchpoint touches on.
FY2026 ended with revenue of ¥10,226 million, operating profit of ¥1,069 million, ordinary profit of ¥1,054 million and net income attributable to owners of the parent of ¥658 million. By contrast, the company's FY2027 forecast is revenue of ¥8,000 million, operating profit of ¥500 million, ordinary profit of ¥450 million and net income of ¥400 million, representing declines of 21.8%, 53.2%, 57.3% and 39.2%, respectively. Profit is falling more sharply than revenue, so it is necessary to assess changes in margins and the cost burden, rather than simply the reaction in revenue scale.
The Sixth Medium-Term Management Plan set FY2027 targets of ¥11,000 million in revenue, ¥850 million in operating profit, ¥850 million in ordinary profit and ¥590 million in net income. The current forecast is below those initial targets by ¥3,000 million in revenue, ¥350 million in operating profit, ¥400 million in ordinary profit and ¥190 million in net income. However, the initial plan did not reflect the impact of the transfer of the career guidance business and other factors. The company has explained that the transfer of its career guidance information business alone is expected to reduce next-period revenue by approximately ¥1,093 million and operating profit by approximately ¥66 million.
In FY2027-H1, it will be necessary to assess cumulative revenue progress against the full-year forecast of ¥8,000 million. The simple 50% midpoint after six months is only a mechanical benchmark. The company has explained that school ICT investment is seasonal, with activity concentrated in the second and fourth quarters, so it would not be appropriate to judge performance against the full-year target solely by the progress rate. At the same time, the extent to which costs for stepped-up hiring, organizational development, improved compensation and new product launches are incurred ahead of the ¥500 million operating profit target is an important point that should be disclosed as of H1.
