The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the trading business, the number of large machinery units sold decreased from the same period of the previous year. The preform business moved into the black due to its withdrawal from the recycled flake business, optimisation of fixed costs and improved profitability of plastic caps for edible oil containers. The full-year net income forecast was withdrawn because the company is still assessing the impact of flooding caused by torrential rain in Sakai, Fukui Prefecture, at the end of August 2026.
